It doesn’t cast Milt in a flattering light but I think it’s the blogger more than Milt. That said, there’s no reason that one would think anyone would be more enlightened in the 50′s about female sexuality.  Virgin/Whore.  Shrinking Violet/Vagina Dentata. Oh, lucky her.

Yes, with a little paternalistic NLP there’s no reason a sexual abuse survivor can’t just skip away and enjoy sex, yipee, if you just use “you’re stupid” as a paradigm busting attention getter.

I can’t even believe what I’m seeing. Other NLP practitioners are sure to tell me no no you just don’t GET it, how empowering that model is – and I’m saying as a human being who believes that female sexuality has enough bullshit piled onto it that this is wrong wrong wrong on so many levels.  This isn’t an irrational fear of snakes or a big presentation that you need to get right – this is serious lifelong entrenched needs therapy *problem.* Simply switching this woman’s ruined pleasure for a vagina dentata isn’t giving her a sexuality she can actually really ENJOY – it’s switching a dysfunctional enjoyment model for another dysfunctional enjoyment model and patting yourself on the back.

I’m glad the case study went on to feel great. I’m curious to know if she went and got her PhD in the ahem, encouraging, climate of the time.

The fact that this model is being touted and re-used by a man in the field makes me question the validity of letting men treat women for anything ever – knowing what we do about rape/incest survival in 2010, feeling as I HOPE we do about female sexuality  and vaginas makes this into a hypnosis equivalent of humours and leeches.
